  7. Cabletron's E3100 Series Desktop Network Interface (DNI) cards enable the user
  8. to connect an IBM PS/2, or compatible, with a Micro Channel bus to existing
  9. standards-based Ethernet network quickly and easily. Each unit is equipped with
  10. its own internal transceiver and can be connected directly, via a twisted-pair,
  11. fiber-optic, or coaxial cable. In addition, Model E3100 provides an AUI port,
  12. allowing users to connect their workstations to network segments of different
  13. media types, via an external transceiver and an AUI (thick Ethernet) cable.
